SLT News is back On The Air.

Well after being off air on YouTube for 10 Months, SLT News is finally back on the air.

So now you ask what was the problem behind the 10 month off air streak. Well, Our video system was failing and then on the last day before the off air streak we had 2 things blow out/short out. You see this is how the old video system worked. Camera-->RCA Cable-->RCA 4 Channel video selector/switcher-->VCR-->Video Capture Converter (RCA to USB 2.0)-->Computer (Dell Dimension 4700c).

So the Switcher And Capture Card Converter blew out.

And then it got expensive.

The 10 months started out with buying the following.

1. New Video Capture Card Converter ($89)

2. Copy of Adobe Premiere Elements ($100)

3. Found out the Video Capture Card (VCC) was incompatible with Premiere

4. Sold copy of Adobe Premiere Elements ($127)

5. Got the solution to compatibility (Switched to an iMac from apple (http://www.apple.com/mac/) ($2,320)

So now that were on Mac we are going just fine and this is how are Video System Works Today.

Camera-->Recorded to MiniDV-->Firewire 800 bit output-->Capture into Final Cut on the Mac.
